Tabib Rose

Damask rose is a deciduous shrub from the rose family. The original origin and home of this flower are the mountains of southwestern Iran, and the industry of processing this flower and extracting rose water from it has a history of at least a thousand years in Iran. Damask rose also holds a very special place in Islam and takes its name from the noble Prophet of this holy religion. The cultivated area of this product in Iran exceeds 12,000 hectares, with more than ten percent of this area—about 1,240 hectares—located in the Kashan region, which has long been the country’s hub for the production of Damask rose flowers, rose water, and essential oil.

In addition to Iran, Damask rose and its products have been used for a long time in ancient Greece, Rome, and Arab countries in cosmetics, medicines, and perfumes. The essential oil and rose water obtained from this flower are effective in relieving conditions such as depression, insomnia, stress, skin dryness, aging, and sensitivity, healing skin wounds, sprains, and viral and bacterial infections.
